Many of us want to enjoy the little things. But our perfectionism just sometimes takes ahould of us 😂. We expect the very best out of our kids...and ourselves 😩. We want them to learn responsibility, to pick up their own socks 😉 and help others.

Before we know it our kids won't want us to hold them, to play a board game or sleep in the middle. When will we stop saying one more minute...put our phones down and create memories? Will we go outside and go for a walk, will we teach our kids to play catch, will we have dance parties in the kitchen and laugh until our bellies hurt or will we regret the years we didn't spend letting them be little?

I first designed this chart to help my son (eh..more like me 😩) remember to read each day to reach his goal of learning to read by the end of summer. It worked so well with him I added chores into the mix.

This chart reminds me to let go of perfection, leave the dishes in the sink, help my kids learn responsibility and above all spend quality time together as a family.

So let them be little, cause they're only that way for a while.
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love, every day.
Let em cry, let em giggle, let them sleep in the middle.
Oh, just let them be little.
